about

Let the Dead Bury The Dead can mean a lot of things to a lot of people.
A phrase that conjures ideas of regret, remorse, hope, change, letting go and the resolve to follow one’s own path. To move forward, we must also leave things behind.

It’s a call to redefine success and failure.
It’s a reminder of the impact individual lives can have on the collective.
An alternative route, a deviation from the norm,
It’s a call to all to step off the treadmill of everyday life, to question and engage,
And to seek life by letting what is dead bury itself.

When you find your identity,
And pursue your true purpose in life,
Often, a battle ensues,
Between fears and insecurities.
Between your reputation and legacy.
What does it take to go against the grain, let the dead bury their dead,
And enter newer realms?

A modest fee…

…for a priceless liberation!

Track Name: Kierkegaard
[Verse 1] – MuRli
The mic's on this time I better be heard
I met love but She was gonna get hurt
This life choice brought me trouble at church
While I'm still trying to convince my mum that it's work
Stories I thought I couldn't tell
Till I realised lies don't play fair
So forget it! It's not a fluke that I made it here
So who the hell am I fooling trying to keep it secret,
While the prophecy had come true over the past year
But emotions got the better share
Heartbreaks of watching my big bro playing pallbearer
Rest in peace to the originator
Before we came together under the name you struggle to say
I pondered upon the future on a regular day
30 shows later, you could find me doing the same
Coz a lot has changed since then but we're still just getting trained

[God Knows]
Nowadays every other ten-year-old says to you they’re the best MC
You can't tell me you're the best if you don't know Chuck D
While that might make me public enemy number 1, I still got the Flavor Flav
God gave me favour fave, if you don't pay we don't play
If you don't pay, we don't play
Big man sound haffi come out of my way
On a serious note we don't make serious notes
So to be a musician was a serious choice
Momma didn't like it, daddy didn't like it
Aunty didn't like it, uncle didn't like it
So guess what, history's made
And we’re still ain't getting paid
This one’s for the Irish crowd
who keep old school like the Irish pound
I'm a pro, I make pennies from IMRO
I can’t lie I can't even go Penneys with this bro
Rusangano made waves last year,
They cut my dole because of Snoop last year
I thought we would be in LA by now last year
We met Ed Sheeran this time last year
Gave me and MuRli real advice last year
Got played on BBC later that year
Guess what my dad still didn't care
I'm not a doctor, I'm not a lawyer, to the eyes of my family I'm still a failure
I’m not a preacher, I’m not a pilot, to the eyes of my family I'm still a failure
Figure that!

[MuRli]
I've been thinking of a master plan
But all I got is a pen and a mic in my hands
As the Indian dance to precipitate the reign
Like the 'Agbadja' dance that spearheaded my name
When I, dropped the call coz the fam's outside
To pick me up to go play live at Lifestyles
Where the Cork fans met me rocking a Dutch wax
Got my first sound cheque bought a new watch
Mark my time and keep it ticking while I rhyme
To remind myself why, I had to resign
Everybody gotta give up something for something else
For better or worse without a chance to rehearse
See, the stage’s too big till you set foot on it
That's why 90% of my friends still doubt me
How bad a breath can a mouth conceal
And refuse to reveal to the hand that feeds it?
Fears of being alone in the days that are dawning
95% of my acquaintances stopped dreaming
I'm guessing they don't want to die trying, do you?
Only my legacy would tell you what I would do

[Bridge]
So I heard, it could only make sense backwards
But I got to live it forwards
So they said, it could only make sense backwards
But I got to live it forwards
So they told me, it could only make sense backwards
But I got to live it forwards
And they said, it could only make sense backwards
But I got to live it forwards

[Verse 2] – God Knows
Growing up my parents never listened to ABBA
Only Shabba, Mr. lover lover was that number
Grew up listening to Ragga, Spragga Benz and Bounty killer
Capleton and Ninja man, Super Cat and Lady Saw
Elephant man, merciless was a baddman
Growing up you would have thought I was a yard man
Back in secondary school nobody knew wagwaan
Just a lickkle ode to the king of the dancehall…
Track Name: Blabber Mouth
[Hook] – MuRli
If I hear you talk that nonsense again, I’m putting out the house
I sent you to school to become anything but a flipping blabber mouth
My friend Ben's son's already tipped to become the Irish Obama
And all you do is making up lies on paper, calling it drama
If I hear you talk that nonsense again, I’m putting out the house
I sent you to school to become anything but a flipping blabber mouth
My friend Ben's son's already tipped to become the Irish Obama
And all you do is making up lies on paper, calling it drama

[Verse 1] – God Knows
New people know me now, some point me out, you can call me Al
Don't want to end up a cartoon in a cartoon graveyard
That's from Graceland
First time I ever saw an African bass man
Pardon my train of thought but I took the alternative route
I took my alternative mouth, gave it options I got alternative chow
But how am I meant to eat if y’all don't pay
My mother looks at me like I'm younger everyday
I'm the new Benjamin Button
I'm nothing I'm something, I'm something I'm nothing
I got the emotion lotion, disappointment ointment
Tons and tons of resentment potions
This ain't an anxiety pool my brother, this is a frank ocean
So, I'm sorry Mrs. Jonas, never meant to make your husband cry
I apologised a trillion times
I am for real Williams! Nah I got Soul Williams
I can go back and forth Serena Williams
all along I feel I've been Robin Williams
Laugh at my pain and break my Kevin Hart
Decline my credit card, let the debt bury the debt
I owe you success, sincerely yours regret!
Let the debt bury the debt I owe you success, sincerely yours…

[MuRli]
Regret?
Is that what I paid for?
Tuition from year 1 to 4?
All my fights to get you to conform to higher norms
Only for you to sabotage my values… for an art form?
Now that's frustrating
I curse the day I brought you to this city
The urban life, got you feeling like you're smarter than I
But you're a prodigal child, media been selling you lies, planting a seed in your mind

[Hook]
If I hear you talk that nonsense again, I’m putting out the house
I sent you to school to become anything but a flipping blabber mouth
My friend Ben's son's already tipped to become the Irish Obama
And all you do is making up lies on paper, calling it drama
If I hear you talk that nonsense again, I’m putting out the house
I sent you to school to become anything but a flipping blabber mouth
My friend Ben's son's already tipped to become the Irish Obama
And all you do is making up lies on paper, calling it drama

[Bridge] – MuRli
You're killing my pride
Look how you nullify all my sacrifices to keep you alive
How could you be so selfish to satisfy your sinful desires
Your dream’s a vice, hobby became your vice and your career's alike
We're in ephemeral times, everything green expires
wisdom cultivated in countryside
Lift up your eyes, see the fields are white for the harvest, get a grip see the signs
Or regret your choices, the days ain't kind
But I've insured mine, with a BA in mass migration and survival
For you. Now, it's payback time
Blabber mouth!!!

Track Name: Lights On
[Chorus]
So you gotta turn the lights on, Leave the light on for the life that he lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, leave the light on for the life that she lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, leave the lights on for the life that they lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, let it shine one in the life that you live
So you gotta turn the lights on, Leave the light on for the life that he lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, leave the light on for the life that she lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, leave the lights on for the life that they lived
So you gotta turn the lights on, let it shine one in the life that you live

[Verse 1] – God Knows
I landed in Ireland in 2001
About the same time that Dre dropped 2001
Thirteen years later the Album's done
Rusangano presents Non-national With an Attitude Volume One
I'm disrespectful I spit on beats
I got my voice back I'm D.O.C
I'm G.O.D.K.N.O.W.S but my peers look at me like I'm their O.G
I stick to myself no PVC
Used to play my riddims on PS2 before we got played on BBC
Where would I be without JME?
Without knowing he helped me see that I couldn't be anything else but me
Half Yoruba, half Igbo
Lyrics like that freed my soul
Thought I had to be American, thought I had to be English, everything else but Irish,
Before it's the black boy from Caimans school surrounded by white like my Iris
I just wanted to be Harlem, I just wanted to be London
I just wanted to be Trench Town, now it's time to be Shannon
Now it's time to be Limerick, get used to my surroundings
Where would Limerick be without GAMAK?

Shine on!

[Verse 2] – MuRli
A graceful loser at making up my mind
I'm certain my dome would have been empty without the generous ones
That had preceded my time left me a treasure to find
I put the smile on your pretty faces but the pleasure is mine
For what's MuRli if Ren and DMC never rhymed?
Or even Wiley across the pond the godfather of grime
My grandfathers have died before I discovered their arts
Broken my hearts, and school couldn't keep me in line
But I finished it so my people have a reason to brag
For we've been hated and loved before the Game had a ....
Coz my mother had a dream I'm still trying to make real
So the passion you feel whenever I'm gracing a stage or a field
Is an extension of everything Koffi made me feel
A Magic System, got me travelling time to Prince Nico
Prompted my best impression at 7 like Luis Figo
Since then my poise remains undefeated like Steven Seagal
Turn the lights on

Track Name: Love In A Time Of War
[Verse 1] - MuRli
Is it bad that I contemplate an exit to focus on myself instead of serving the masses?
Is it sad that I ask to be respected when I'm busy at work yet few ever get the message?
Is it fair to deprecate my music, undervalue my statements for instruments I ain't using?
Is it here that you're expected to lose it, spazz on social media looking ever so stupid?
Since the records don't sell no more
It's like the industry's only got air in store
Coz that's all I get when I got to these shows
And the bands try so hard to redefine boredom
Hip hop, I'm giving you nothing but tough love
How gon' grow your audience on popcorn
MCs, please move the crowd
Regardless of being above or underground

[God Knows]
Because the bloggers got a gun, I got my hands in the air yelling please don't shoot us Zimbabwean lion in this jungle and there's poachers everywhere I'm roaring please don't don't hunt us
Making records nowadays is like pulling teeth
Don't be that dentist
Let me be honest, it's not about blunt it's not about spliff,
The only thing smoking inside no e-cigarettes
I don't wanna brag same reason why Tyler, The Creator and Keeth is a chief
The braggadocio is self ownership
Me and vanity don't have a relationship
And as pop culture moves on to censorship
And as the guilt trip luggage turns into baggage
With money in the industry harder to salvage
I wonder will you download my e-press package
With another tab open searching for courses, no 5 Mics no Sources
We’re just underground hype, horses for courses
I'm not on a role, I'm on the road!
Trying to make dreams into streams, cheers into screams,
shows into cream, as easy as it seams,
Another level another devil
I go to church to keep my head level

[MuRli]
Most careers in the game are now made in China
So you triple double check when it's time to sign on
With both sides of the same coin striking
Only thing left in the middle is a hyphen
Majority wouldn't believe it
That's how I started embracing all my minorities
Squeezing on my belly for a living
By now my hunger got a split personality
Either way it all plays to my advantage like when the ref say play on even after you foul me
Even after the honey moon period
You wake up to find me red hot. Period!
Breaking so many hearts to be a star better be Sirius
Unless you only got two senses you're feeling us
Giving our blood, sweat, tears and bone marrow
On our March through that gate that's ever so narrow
No track-star but I'm in this for the long run
Ethiopian records on my dashboard
And till I'm all flat, bet I can't stop
You can keep waving the flag my brake broke
Well We gotta find that balance?
There's too many man on stage these days
We need some more girls up there parallel that track from BBK

[Chorus]
Love in the time of war
Love in the time of war
Love in the time of war
Can you mirror heaven when all hell breaks loose?
Love in the time of war
Love in the time of war
Love in the time of war
Can you mirror heaven when all hell breaks loose?

[Verse 2] - God Knows]
I don't have American Idols, not a based God,
6 God, not even a fella in the Wu he's not U-God
Oh Lord! I'm sorry but Jamar is not The Lord
You can drill it to me 16 billion times
You can be slim but you still not Jesus
I've been doing this since early nah I'm serious
I've been doing this sincerely
I don't have to be my bro to tell you that I'm early
Always thought the older I got
the more that I knew but I quickly learned even at 20 I was still 5 times 4
I am a Don of 4/4, four to the floor before I fall to the floor
Create a legacy, love all mankind, free my people before I fall to the floor
Raw to core, do it for the Father not for show
Wanna spit a couple raps get a couple braps
Share a few laughs and I'm chuffed
That's just me, no matter how many times you invite me, I don't want to play candy crush
Now back to the bars, do it for the love not the buzz,
But let's just keep it real still gotta get paid cuz
I've been conflicted bro, I just wanted people to like me more
Word to Yeezy, been doing this since folks said for shizzle my nizzle
I've been on the grizzle since little
And I've been more fire since Lethal the bizzle and H to the Izzo
I've got mixed emotions but they weren't mixed my Ali, MynameisjOhn actually!

Track Name: Wisdom Teeth
[Hook]
Pain in my heart, Pain in my eyes
Gimme plenty tears
Pain on my mind, coz petty thoughts won't let me sleep
Pain in my blood, lump in my throat won't let me speak
Pain in my jaw, My venom sac's about to leak
Pain in my heart, Pain in my eyes
Gimme plenty tears
Pain on my mind, coz petty thoughts won't let me sleep
Pain in my blood, lump in my throat won't let me speak
Pain in my jaw, My venom sac's about to leak

[Verse 1] - MuRli
So sick and tired of these internet wisdom teeth
Every time they show up that's a lot of pain guaranteed
With one liners that stick to your heads like Ghana weaves
They're everywhere from real misogynists to wannabes...
(Ok folks, we'll be right back after this non-commercial break) GK
Born with a superiority complex they lack context
Like the type who's gon' read Matthew 5: 30 and become armless
Listen to them complain and you tempted to laugh
Till it knocks you to your knees and say a prayer for their other halves
That they shouldn't have
They're far too right but too far from reason
Pushing the rest so far to the left they're falling off the spectrum
Throwing tantrum
So it's a war in bedlam now who's gon' be the victim?
Usually her who's just trying to be heard
The battle for emancipation took its toll on her
So the prevalent chauvinism creeping into her senses too
Now momma's getting slated just for having an attitude
To put you in check because your moaning's getting out of tune

Chorus X2
Pain in my heart, Pain in my eyes
Gimme plenty tears
Pain on my mind, Coz petty thoughts won't let me sleep
Pain in my blood, lump in my throat won't let me speak
Pain in my jaw, my venom sac's about to leak...
Pain in my heart, Pain in my eyes
Gimme plenty tears
Pain on my mind, Coz petty thoughts won't let me sleep
Pain in my blood, lump in my throat won't let me speak
Pain in my jaw, my venom sac's about to leak...

Verse 2(God Knows)
And we're back...
I never met a true racist,
But on a daily basis I shrink from their existence, my face stuck on Hades
I wonder who I fear more, them or my loosened laces?
Daily mail or Facebook? (Donald's trump or mazes)
I'm tracing for my descendants?
With my finger in the dirt to carve out a new sentence
Fidgeting with the first stone
I'm losing sight of reality through my iPhone
Scroll up! Won't find a single female in my friend zone
Makes it easier to laugh out loud at a sexist joke
Coz Unilad's as controversial as a can of coke
Before I reddit I closed my eyes and imagine the good laugh in the ears of men of all sexes Deprived of privileges they couldn't crack a smile, they've all been botoxing.
Yesterday I wore the fleece of a victim
Now I'm a culprit with a bow and arrow like cupid
No love, just painful wisdom teeth!
Pain, pain, so much pain
Stop! Stop it! Stop... Shaming!

END
Track Name: Heathrow
[Verse 1] - God Knows
Transition plane from Turkey, but you gotta be cold turkey
No syrup no glue, no English no clue
Just dry skin on a Air bus
Took off in Lagos and only Europe can save us
Them Yoruba and Igbos, big egos in Heathrow
No jacket, never seen snow
Not a metaphor for class A, just yes yes never no no
Just silence in the customs, just prayers in the bathrooms
Black cleaners in staff rooms
Advices and vices, spices and juju
Voodoo what they told you
Sprinkle holy water, for your sons and daughters that you left in your country
Now patience and passport when they ask you on entry
When they ask you on entry

[Chorus]
Black man with no visa,
trying to get with Shifra
She's just a local girl I met in a Pizza Hut
White man with a visa, trying to get with Sika
She's just a local girl
I met in Kinshasa
Black man with no visa,
trying to get with Shifra
She's just a local girl I met in a Pizza Hut
White man with a visa, trying to get with Sika
She's just a local girl
I met in Kinshasa

[Verse 2] - MuRli
I'm feeling like taking a chance with her let down my guard and be on her radar
But government owns all radars,
clandestine, how would I date her?
I'm on 20 euros a week and my pocket is weak so no cash in my strategy
On top of that I am an artist, opposite of regular salary
Profile is on airplane mode,
can't connect to her network so
Can't compare to her net worth and I'm probably deported by next year plus
My vision is bleak,
my status is peak, no sense in the tongue I speak
My daily meal is Gari,
missing from her vocabulary
I'm living on fish and chips but deep inside I'm craving fetri
Honestly, I should have let her go but then I made it here coz I never let go
What you know of all the lies that I used to get through?
When I see Police I'm Amadou Diallo
Haunted by the bodies Sahara swallowed,
did I flee Lampedusa to die over you?
Did I flee Lampedusa to die over you? (God Knows)
Did I flee Lampedusa to die over you?

[Chorus]
Black man with no visa,
trying to get with Shifra
She's just a local girl I met in a Pizza Hut
White man with a visa, trying to get with Sika
She's just a local girl
I met in Kinshasa
Black man with no visa,
trying to get with Shifra
She's just a local girl I met in a Pizza Hut
White man with a visa, trying to get with Sika
She's just a local girl
I met in Kinshasa

[Bridge] - God Knows
It's not all black and white, zebras and pandas
Shifra’s and Sika's, asylum seekers
Sugar daddies in slippers, spooning Nubian grim reapers
This is where history finds us, our history binds us
No blacks, no dogs, no Irish…

[Outro] – MuRli & God Knows
Depressed under pressure of making decisions
To change my feathers and flock with the others
You’re taking new measures to block my manoeuvres
I shoulda foreseen it with so many siblings
That made it on TV for challenging gravity
Floating on sea but I'm stricken by poverty
Wars and politics, famine and disease
Blinding promises I never got to see
Stuck in Heathrow, never got to oversea
But I could've been under the sea
And the family would never hear of me again
Predicament of the new slaves
Capsizing on your holidays
Looking out of place
Like Columbus did, but my Santa Maria'd be maculate
Coz my Santa Maria got negroes in it
Let it sink!

END
Track Name: Politricks
[Intro] - MuRli
We're all too busy getting chatty chatty!
Ain't nobody really saying nothing though
But you know what?

[Chorus]
Stuck in politics
Everybody's stuck in politics
Wanna make big man moves but you can't coz your feet got caught up in politics
So you are preaching in fallacy
Something like a new age Pharisee
And I too wanna make an impact but I can't do that till I drop these politics
Stuck in politics
Everybody's stuck in politics
Wanna make big man moves but you can't coz your feet got caught up in politics
So you’re preaching fallacy
Something like a new age Pharisee
And I too wanna make an impact but I can't do that till I drop these politics

[Verse 1] - God Knows
It's all politricks, it's all politricks that the left wing and right wing are fighting so much nobody wants to fly no more
It's all probably tricks, he's faking the fight
He's taking a flight all the way down to Africa
Takes a selfie with a baby, says he's world saving
But he’ll never ever walk across the street to a council estate
First world problems
Phoney, lonely, only started politicking since that episode of Joseph Kony
First world problems
Don't be sour, just be a Don
Don't be a lemon, do you get what I am on
Don't care what the fox says, we want the trues
Keep your million billion views if your opinion is not you!
Keep your bling and your all white parties
Love me in Versace but not in my Nike's
Before the blogosphere's ear was Hozier
Never been a pretender so keep your Hollister
Keep your Abercrombie, Air Maxxes, wristbands, and everything else you hold
sacred to impress people you don't like,
(Ah stop man!)

[Chorus]
Stuck in politics
Everybody's stuck in politics
Wanna make big man moves but you can't coz your feet got caught up in politics
So you are preaching in fallacy
Something like a new age Pharisee
And I too wanna make an impact but I can't do that till I drop these politics
Stuck in politics
Everybody's stuck in politics
Wanna make big man moves but you can't coz your feet got caught up in politics
So you are preaching in fallacy
Something like a new age Pharisee
And I too wanna make an impact but I can't do that till I drop these politics

[Verse 2] - MuRli
Listen I'm a 90s baby
All that old school PC better miss me
Coz way back when that was on-topic
I was busy being an African baby
Playing in the sand bare feet, no blisters
Now my feet freeze when I walk like hipsters
Didn't get rap till 20 03
So why am still trying to sound like Biggie
I wanna be that fella like Kuti
Who's gonna introduce you to Djibouti
You'd think that with the genius of our times
Someone might just find a better use of the mind
Said I wanna help the poor
Make a difference, maybe I could end these wars
But when I get paid I bite my own words
And turn the other cheek to the charity box

[Outro] - MuRli
And you catch me walking around with a water bottle,
All the time, looking healthy
But at home I've got a fridge full of coke bottles
That's a real, professional politrixian for ya!
Bless you all...
Eh yo yo yo! I forgot, I forgot one thing
Have you seen my facebook photo lately?
I'm an ACT-TV-IST baby!

(God Knows)
Yeah but what's it all worth?

[Skit] - Elders from Cecil street
Serious performers! Serious performers!
Everywhere went agog!
These guys... too good (Brilliant!)
Brilliant!
And he was teaching them how to dance
"You have to shuffle to the right, shuffle to the left"
We did that one, how to dance
And you do this and you jump
And you sit down, and you stand
Very good!
And in between you know, they were serving food

Track Name: Soul Food
[Bridge] – MuRli
(Hello)
Who's that calling on my mobile phone
Right in the middle of my Sunday roast
I don't even care if they've got gold
To offer for free they're going on hold
So tell my boss he's going on hold
Tell the boys they're going on hold
Unless it's my lady, put them on hold
Who's that calling on my whatsApp?
Right in the middle of my pounded yam
I don't have time for the deal they have
To offer right now so put them on hold
Tell that man he's going on hold
Tell ‘em sorry for keeping you on hold
Unless it's my God, put them on hold

[Hook] - MuRli
You can never tell me nothing when I'm on my soul food
Even the COP 21 ain't gon kill off my soul fuel
T'is the way forward my bruvas and y'all gonna learn soon
I've been working and scheming for all of my life for this soul food
You can never tell me nothing when I'm on my soul food
Even the COP 21 ain't gon kill off my soul fuel
T'is the way forward my bruvas and y'all gonna learn soon
I've been working and scheming for all of my life for this soul food

[Verse 2] - God Knows
My name is Godknows
Also known as R A N D coz if I got a G, I'm grand
From the generation of young and lil, not Kool and Grand
Or Fresh or MC, Limewire MC, Bearshare MC, BitTorrent MC
Don't worry there is more fish in the sea, here's a link to the stream
High quality WAV, made with love, that's soul food
All those downloads are junk food
You eat what you kill, you murderers you can't sit with us
Never bought a CD or Vinyl, you can't eat with us
Honestly I don't know no bitter
Out to the kids that don't know no better
Ain't no message could have been any clearer
So I'm starting with the man in the mirror
Still, I see no changes, wake up in the morning and I hate myself
Can't be mad for the records I don't buy myself
Walking away from the world that I wanna save
If you wanna be a king, then you gotta be a slave

Reach over to the antidote Travis Scott and
Even though it's let the dead bury the dead
I would never pee on your grave
Let me just say, Biggie and Pac, get the appreciation beyond the grave,

I went for the light so the darkness calls me a traitor
I'm John Boyega
I apologise for the silly sods, that insult was a sure shot
Before you harbour any bitterness, do me a favour
Lend me some sugar I am your neighbour
So shake it, shake it, just shake it, shake it, shake shake…
Hahahaha eh yo Soul Food!
Rusangano Family got that Soul Food!

Track Name: Surviving The Times
[Verse 1] - God Knows
I found my faith when I lost my religion
And I lost my my friends but I found my position
Could have lost my health but I found my legend
This year I was 25, still no degree do I suck at life
will I save my cheques and then buy a house
Or will I spend earning at the public house
Got the numbers going backwards in bank account
Depression told me I ain't better me, tell my man Shut Up!
Doubt says I'll never breakthrough, tell my man Shut Up!
Drake already told me to know myself so you know yourself
When I get backlash I don't lash back coz that’s backwards, and they say

[MuRli]
It would only make sense backwards
But I gotta live it forwards,
Watch it become my mantra here onwards
I got one goal in many forms
And my body is nothing but a uniform
One mind, too many thoughts
So one life couldn't be enough
But if one life wouldn't be enough
Then one's job shouldn't be a bluff
And I promised Mom I wouldn't say this stuff
But to my last course I must refer as such
All the money wasted shoulda bought a cake
Coz on my last birthday I got none of it
When my broke self tried his hand at baking
Like my accent it was all over the place
Taught me a lesson in common sense
And my outlook hasn't been common since

Surviving the times
I had to adapt like Pac's rhymes
I've been surfing the waves to the rhythm of the Irish times
Better news awaiting though
I just want to break records

[Verse 2] - God Knows
They wanna see the Dela and the Fela in the fella
Said the performance was stellar,
Cheers, tears after acapellas
GK that sharp sound blowing from the gut of Southern Africa
But no friends I am not the Vuvuzela
We make black and white music so you can colour us in
I don't think you heard me I make black and white music so you can colour us in
I'm from the naughty naughties, 40 40's gun bucking, crystal sipping
Capone and Nore, Shaq and Kobe, Flash Adope, Limewire hobby
In hindsight I am very sorry
I shot myself before I made myself
The baggier jeans got the more things didn't fit
The tighter the clothes the more I can't breathe
Bizarre! The more the visuals the more I can't see
I can see nothing!

[Verse 3] - MuRli
Bred on a diet fufu
Man from the home of Vodu
The land of negro Tom and Desmond Tutu
Shipped to the home of U2
Integration was due
But tradition had me confused
So this transition wasn't easy

Easy as ...
I used to be in NWA
A pro tool for these beats like Dre
Spitting everywhere like I be running out of toothpaste
Every time mynameisjOhn hit me with a new sh...
I can't curse coz I'm too blessed
Impossible to compare me I'm something else
Living in the kitchen always cooking up lava
To make you feel the heat like you lost in Sahara
Alhamdulillah!
I got my best shot like the Dons from Mochilla
And my dawgs got that worldwide fire Mozilla
Since MJ's gone then I must be the trilla!!! But
I be lying if I meant that
My motherland ties be on my neck, where the money at?
I still don't know how far is Zion
So I strike this thing while it's hot like iron

Track Name: Losing My French
[Verse 1] - MuRli
When I was a kid I used to speak French
Au fil du temps je suis devenu bête
Gone are the girls I wanted to impress
Now excuse my French I'm losing my French
When I was the kid I used to speak French
Au fil du temps j'ai appris l'anglais
Here are the girls I wanted to impress
Now excuse my French I'm losing my French
(You and I the same...) No way!
I'd take my daddy over you all day
That's the man that was gone always
But I'd rather be gone than adjust to your ways
Finding it impossible to connect you nowadays
You became the type that I would never date
How you even managed to score me anyway
When I realised even your French ain't accurate
Mystery, bling ring that's marriage
Mid life crisis dual carriage
Revelation comes at the end of all chapters
The mark of the beast is with you, hereafter
A flicker of hope is all I need
Faith as small as a mustard seed
To rise above the tide, I'm drowning
And take a walk on the water like brother Pete
I repeat
A flicker of hope is all I need
Walking the line of this ring I'm tied in
The best years of my life to submit
But I'm across the borderline of greed,
Looking at the house like where do I fit?
When a home becomes just a property
Revelation comes at the end of all chapters
The scar of defeat is with you, hereafter

[Verse 2] - God Knows
Late as usual, I got my rhyming noodle
And my answers from google, still more homework to do,
I'm a clever clogs I get my work done before the teacher clocks
But it won't be long until you hear my name up on the intercom
“Would 'GoK knows come to the office please”
First off, that's not how you pronounce my name miss
It's in plain English how could you not get this
I'll take detention never disrespect
I see all the subtleties and they’re indirect
But I'll never tell my parents coz they'll both dissect
The situation and that's when it all goes left
See, dad has been taking some harassment at work
I see the homework and say what it's all worth?
It ain't bullying if nobody touched me
So many parties yet no one invites me
I can defend myself so nobody fights me
I'm hard to relate to so nobody likes me
Well if you don't like me I don't like you
I will fail my papers forgetting I'd like to
Pass my exams make my parents proud too
They came to Europe to work very hard
They don't know about this load I'm carrying
I came to terms with it like this bag I'm carrying
Now dad's been drinking way more than he used to
Seeing me get in way more trouble than he used to
Just messes him up, he wants to brag about me back home but he can't
Enter the mind of a migrant gone bad,
“Godknows you’re losing your manners,
Godknows you no longer respect us,
Godknows what happened to your traditions,
Munya are you listening?”
While you were back home burying grandma
I was out here burying my grammar
I still wanna make you proud you just don't know
you think you I lost my language and I lost my soul
I still wanna make you proud you just don't know
you think you I lost my language and I lost my soul
I haven't lost my soul... It's still the Lord's
(Let the dead… bury the dead)

Track Name: Isn't Dinner Nice feat. Denise Chaila
[Poetry] – Denise Chaila
I have promised myself that the only time I will ever allow myself to be seen and not heard is when I am leading by example
And I am screaming until my voice bleeds
Because
I know what it's like not to have one
I am screaming for the woman with acid burns on her face because if I can't have you nobody can
Yes ALL women
But no you DON’T understand
Until you wonder if
It's your fault cause you smiled at him
And I know he touched you
But how many drinks did you have?
Why did you wear that skirt?
Sure, He's only a man
So I'm screaming for the seven-year-old girl getting ready for her wedding night
Right now
For the teenage boy on Twitter learning to substitute the word Woman
With four letter words in his vocabulary
Because Bill Cosby is not an anomaly
Doctor Huxtable is a fictional character
And Jekyll has been known to Hyde
So a year down the line
We're still singing/seeing blurred lines
Because it took 25 women for the world to listen one time
Because the only thing he needed to do to get those pictures from you at thirteen
Was tell you that you were beautiful
Because
The only thing he needed to do when you were too afraid to go all the way
Was call you one of three four letter words
And let the grape vine have its say
Because
In vino veritas
And you are too used to secrets
Too used to shrinking
Because sometimes cat calls come with a car stalking you home in your uniform
Because you're "old enough"
Because boys will be boys and he's never met a girl who wasn't dangerous
Because I know too many women
who learned how to hold a secret inside of them
before they were seven
Hold it over and over again, and learn not to cry when they passed the rice that night
Look their demons in the eye
And say isn't dinner nice?
Isn't it so nice?
Isn't it...
Nice?

Track Name: Bon Voyage
[Chorus] - MuRli
I told my Mama that I'm gonna be greatest
That’s why you see me moving had to search for greener pastures
So I had to leave, don't hate me coz I love you
I am trying to make us better man I am doing it for us
I told my Mama that I'm gonna be greatest
That’s why you see me moving had to search for greener pastures
So I had to leave, don't hate me coz I love you
I am trying to make us better man I am doing it for us

[Verse 1] - God Knows
Should my head ever inflate up like a balloon pop that
I know El, I know Mike, him ah Kool Kat
Rusangano hard to pronounce like Okmalumkoolkat
Kid I don't wanna freestyle I already told you that
Dad I told nuff times I wanna do Rap
What does music mean to you?
I'll migrate and become an Eskimo and live in an igloo if I get a bad review,
How does that sound to you?
I told my my best friend right before the grad
That I'm gonna be the greatest, right then he told me he was gonna be a dad
And that was that
That's why I had to leave, had to search for greener pastures
And move on with the others
The music industry used to have a hand in my dreams
Now they got a hand in my streams
What is this world coming to?
Actually the more important question is what gigs are you coming to?
Hahaha that's not a joke though, I want to play in Kyoto and Lesotho
Book me a resort though, I'll take a B&B that's the last resort though
Oh Oh, forgot my tooth brush, haha I'll send you a postcard and take photo's
I promise!

[Verse 2] - MuRli
Yo it's the R-A double P E-R M U R L I aka boycotter of lies of silence
Words you couldn't say to my face but they're a growing menace
They thought me silence is golden but misquoted the carats
My brothers confirming their fertility getting me embarrassed
While I had my eyes on the throne like brothers in Paris
Fresh out of my teenage I promised to break allegiance
Fed up with the system I dared to become a nuisance
Fire on all cylinders, engineering the difference
With our backs against the wall we were born to play defense
But me I take offense, bring it to you first
Give you thirst for something fresh like greed in reverse
If death is a promise every day's a bonus
Beat around the bush my whole life now I'm under the onus
On the flight to success everybody's bogus
Hocus-pocus is so widely spoken you gon’ lose your focus
But Heaven is my brainfeeder I'm a flying lotus
Fading out of your line of sight I don't care if you notice
Some will only love you when you still novice
I'd rather hurt you and write you a solace
Compromised but at least I'm honest (I’m honest)
Bon voyage!

Chorus(MuRli)
I told my Mama that I'm gonna be greatest
That’s why you see me moving had to search for greener pastures
So I had to leave, don't hate me coz I love you
I am trying to make us better man I am doing it for us
I told my Mama that I'm gonna be greatest
That’s why you see me moving had to search for greener pastures
So I had to leave, don't hate me coz I love you
I am trying to make it better man I am doing it for us

Track Name: Let The Dead Bury The Dead
[Verse 1] - God Knows
The Lord is my portion says my soul therefore I have hope in him
I gave you all my soul and there’s still more in him
Deaded all my past relationships and they’re still mourning him
Deleted them off my networks but they’re still stalking him
I won't be held responsible for what's still happening
I still love you though from afar
I just hope you know, release the grudge, release the hurt
Release the album, three points plan
Then break the net, in from far, 3 points man
What a shame you slut shame, not for yourself but for a name
No shade, no blame, nuff said, nuff said
Don't feel guilty, don't feel filthy, don't feel naked, don't feel sad,
Oh my days Oh My lawd,
Let the dead bury their dead,
It's about to heat up
How many people gotta die in the hands of the police man I can't keep up
The only thing the news want to show me is the Kardashians man I can't keep up!
It's about to heat up! Label me awkward
Never went to UCD or Harvard
But I'm running through these walls
Like I'm trying to catch a train from Hogwarts
When it gets tough I gotta give it to the Father
I watched my brother bury his father, at the same time making an album
I ain't gone lie man I was inspired, no excuses I am going harder
If you're looking for that bare my soul music, look no further

[Pre-chorus] - God Knows
Let the dead bury the dead
Let the dead bury their dead
Gimme me the shovel, gimme the dirt
Go on then dig, go then dig
Let the dead bury the dead
Let the dead bury their dead
Gimme me the shovel gimme the dirt
Go on then dig, go then dig

[Chorus] – God Knows
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
Let it go 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
It's all over 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
Let it go 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
It's all over 6-foot deep

(Heave-ho, heave-ho
 Heave-ho, heave-ho
 Heave-ho, heave-ho
 Heave-ho, heave-ho)

[Verse 2] - MuRli
Why fear the other side when only Heaven’s waiting
At the very time I write these rhymes shall my heart resign please celebrate me
Yet to see those millions but I'm grateful to my God above for the great food
For my band mates and my fans too, but I'm still here so
I let the past be the past, and let Caesar have his cash
I put my dreams on blast, but the visions remain intact
Any day could be my last, now where's the glamour in that
I don't wanna have nothing to hide so I might as well spiel you my mind
I don't mean to get you aghast, but I'm bout to bury my cast
Manners confined to a casket, could they break the ground with a racket?
residual sacrifice, hoping my pen will suffice
As modus operandi, to stimulate a revival
And this boring flow I hired, does more than pull hands high up
Put the lord of war in a cage, sit the Lord of peace on the throne
What's the point of Nobel prize when the physics break the peace with a drone?
Wanna get a better use out of my time, yet I got that Stockholm syndrome
For viral trends and news, celebrities in the nude
Don't judge me I'm beautiful, just keep adding on the views
While parents shaming their youths, others bashing holy books
Some of y'all wanna summon demons and those my lips couldn't mention
Just gotta make sure what you do to it beats what it do to you
Let your heart seek the truth make your three eyes useful
And leave the lies for the fools or at the base of a six-foot hole...

[Pre-chorus]
Let the Dead bury their Dead
Let the Dead bury Their Dead
Gimme me the shovel Gimme the Dirt
Go on then dig go then dig
Let the Dead bury their Dead
Let the Dead bury Their Dead
Gimme me the shovel Gimme the Dirt
Go on then dig go then dig

[Chorus]
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
Let it go 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
It's all over 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
Let it go 6-foot deep
Go on then dig, go on then dig,
It's all over 6-foot deep
